🛠️ Drywall Budget: $2,562 📅 Timeframe: 2.5 days 🛠️ Paint Budget: $2,741 📅 Timeframe: 2 days When Hurricane Helene passed through, it left more than just fallen branches and downed power lines—it brought major structural damage to homes in our area. One local homeowner had it especially rough: a large tree crashed through her roof, right above the guest bedroom.
From Ceiling Collapse to Clean Slate
After the roofing crew repaired the structure, we were brought in to handle the ceiling. What we walked into was a real mess: the drywall was ripped open, insulation was exposed, and light fixtures were wrecked. It was one of those situations where the damage goes beyond physical—it feels personal, like your home has been turned upside down.

We cleared the space, installed fresh R38 insulation, and hung brand-new drywall. We took our time matching the existing layout and applied multiple coats of joint compound to ensure a seamless finish. Once everything was smooth and solid, we installed new lighting and a ceiling fan to bring the room back to life.

A Change in Plans
Originally, we were only scheduled for the drywall repair. The homeowner already had a trusted painting company lined up. But after a few rounds of scheduling delays with them, she circled back to us and asked if we could take care of the painting too.
We were happy to step back in and see the project through.

Bringing It All Together
We returned and painted the entire guest room—walls, ceiling, trim—the works. That’s when the space truly came together. It was no longer just “repaired”—it was refreshed. Ready to welcome guests again, and a reminder that even after a storm, things can be made whole again.

Why We Do What We Do
This job started as a ceiling repair and ended as something more. At Asheville Drywall, we’re not just here to fix what’s broken—we’re here to help bring homes back to life.
